Dear RECA students and alumni,
We will definitely let Linda know what a great job she's doing and how the students feel about her. Full time positions at the university are very rare and we did not have one in RECA for the last 10 years. If one position opens up in the future, the process to fill it is very complicated for all kinds of legal reasons. However, Linda will be certainly welcome to apply.

If your instructor doesn't push you, how will you ever learn or improve? Linda won't coddle you and tell you your project is perfect like many instructors do, because students don't improve without constructive criticism. Linda shows that she truly cares by teaching the only difficult class in RECA, doing her best to elevate the caliber of the department and ensure her students are prepared for the "real world" after college. She doesn't take the easy route to teaching (for her or her students), but its the right way.

Linda Gedemer was hands down the best professor that I had during my time at LMU. It is rare that you find a professor so committed to the education of her students that she will go as above and beyond as Linda does to make sure those students truly understand the material. I cannot think of another professor that I had during my time at LMU that was more dedicated to the information she/he was teaching, and I believe that all professors should follow from her model of teaching. If there were ever a professor to deserve a full time position, it is her.

Linda is not only knowledgeable in what she teaches, she is also 100% committed to her students. She will meet with her students not only to discuss the material from class, but to offer guidance regarding anything the student needs help with. Linda is not only a teacher, she is also someone I look up to and really hope she gets a full time position at LMU.

Linda is by far one of the best educators I have ever learned from. She's unbelievably knowledgable and is effective at getting us to know what we need to know, not to mention very genuinely interested in helping her students succeed. She is beyond qualified and is a perfect example of a truly great teacher.

Linda's demonstrable commitment to the education and success of her students, enthusiasm for the growth of LMU's RECA program, as well as her professional development and experience within her field would make her a valuable full-time addition to the Recording Arts faculty.

Linda is a VERY talented teacher who is dedicated to her students (past, present, and future) and wants to help them succeed in any way possible. It is honestly a shame that she hasn't been brought upon as a full-time professor already. Ask any of her students, and they will tell you that she has helped them learn the most about audio and the real world while at LMU. We wouldn't want to lose such a vital asset to the RECA program to another school.

It is without a doubt that Linda Gedemer is the most qualified audio professor at LMU (she taught the most complex courses and brought an understanding to students with an intrinsic sense of motivation) As a graduate of the Recording Arts program, I must say that I would not be where I am today without the knowledge and faith that Linda instilled in us all. MAKE HER FULL TIME! SHE IS WORTHY!

I'm not a student, but have seen Linda in action with her students at school, AES, get-togethers. I can't think of anybody more in tune or caring about their students than Linda. On behalf of the students who we'll hire in the future, obtaining the education from Linda is critical.

Linda is the best professor I've had at LMU. The program would be at a huge loss without her expertise and excellent teaching ability. She needs to be offered a full time position before some other school snatches her up!

Linda is very articulate in her lectures and shows great care in her students. Whenever I had a question, she always responded to my emails as soon as possible. Linda has also offered me further educational opportunities through the Audio Engineering Society. I truly hope that I will be able to sit in her class for the rest of my years at LMU.

This semester was my first as a Recording Arts major and looking back in hindsight, I am very glad that I had Linda as the professor for my first RECA class. Not only did she display great amounts of knowledge and proficiency for the subject of the class, but she also showed great passion and desire to help us learn the tools we need to succeed in this field. Furthermore, she opened my eyes to the numerous job opportunities that a recording arts major can pursue, which go way far beyond the careers I thought were available in the field.

Linda is one of the most accessible, knowledgable, and caring professors I've had at LMU. She is so much more than just a teacher. She is a mentor, leader, and passionate advocate for students to access the greatest education possible. She deserves a position at our university to not only better the Recording Arts Program, but the entirety of SFTV and LMU.

Linda has been by far one of the most educated, knowledgeable professors in the Recording Arts technology and engineering field I have had the privilege of learning from. If the LMU RECA department loses out on the valuable asset she is, the RECA will be deeply effected detrimentally. She dedicates her time to the RECA department as if she is already a full time professor, and fortunately dedicates a great amount of her life to the students. It would be a shame for LMU to lose out on such a great professor.
