After a very short stint, die-hard Kobe Bryant fans and sneaker enthusiasts alike were distraught when the MC (multi-color) upper option was prematurely taken down from the Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low ID shoe. We hope Nike Inc., located in Beaverton, Oregon blesses their loyal customer base and makes the option available again as soon as possible. I, myself, and a group of peers will be boycotting every Nike product and will not be purchasing a single item from the brand until our voices are heard and our demands are met. After months of rumors and speculation, we the consumers are thankful and very appreciative that Nike Inc. provided us with the opportunity to create our very own Kobe 9 shoe. However, we as a community are fed up with Nike Inc’s marketing strategies and weekly attempts to artificially “hype” up their products from a promotional standpoint. I understand that this petition may come off as a “first world problem” and somewhat petty, but rest assured, Nike Inc’s stranglehold on their consumers has been very apparent and ruthless, especially in the last few years. People are lining up for days on end just to be able to spend their hard earned money for their products. Father’s are jockeying for position in near freezing temperatures. Grandfathers are getting heatstroke to compete against resellers. Mothers are cancelling spa appointments. Grandmothers are getting trampled on from Olympic like sprints to mall entrances. Children and adolescents are being neglected. Uncles are ditching their nephews and nieces graduation ceremonies. Riots ensued on several occasions, as documented on news and media outlets. Security has been beefed up at retail brick-and-mortar establishments. Consumers on rare occasions, even resort to violence just for a better spot in line. I understand that we as consumers do not have to partake in such ridiculous actions and should be saving or investing our money, as most logical people do, but what’s the fun in that? Nike please bring the Multi-color option back to the Kobe 9 Elite low on Nike ID. Throw us a bone and “just do it!” Yeezus Christ!!!
