This is a beautiful splash of colour portraying an important message in today’s world. This should not be removed

Oh, please! You’re not telling them to remove the mural because of “unapproved advertising” can people in government please stop showing contempt for the Australian citizens by consistently insulting our intelligence and providing false excuses. You want it gone because you don’t believe in climate change and extinction rebellion. Own it.

This is a pleasant, friendly pink wall with a positive message. Its neat and tidy, tasteful, not for profit and its community minded. It's on private property. No reason to have it removed. You really have to question the reasons why some in East Freo council object to it. They should direct their zeal towards removing the plethora of commercial eyesores in their area instead.

The right to freedom of political communication (such as this) is protected in The Australian Constitution. Council has no standing to order the removal.

This mural is beautiful, and helps raise awareness of the need for the community to act to save our planet and home. Freedom of speech for a great cause that must be allowed to prevail. Shame on East Freo council. I thought you were better than this!

It's artistic and and a welcome change to brighten the drive along the highway that doesn't involve neon lights and commercial advertising. Great work!

We see mundane advertising in our paths daily & it does not have the importance that the message this mural portrays. The mural is also on private property that the owner should, within reason be allowed to decorate as they see fit.

Under the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015 advertisement means any word, letter, model, sign, placard, board, notice, device or representation, whether illuminated or not, that is used wholly or partly for the purposes of advertising, announcing or directing, and includes — (a) any hoarding or similar structure used, or adapted for use, for the display of advertisements; and (b) any airborne device anchored to any land or building used for the display of advertising; and (c) any vehicle or trailer or other similar object placed or located so as to serve the purpose of displaying advertising. Given this is not advertising anything it would probably not constitute an advertisement under the Town of East Fremantle Local Planning Scheme and would therefore not require development approval.
