Our school has went through so many challenges, for a point in time we’ve had a staff deficit. 21st Century Charter School has terminated one of the most beloved staff by the students. A hard working teacher who has always been there for his students. This was his second year working at the school and he has made an impact incomparable to more than half the 21st Century Staff. There is a tremendous amount of “robotic” educators in the field, the ones that don’t deeply care about their students, the ones that only teach from the books. Mr. Igoe was not one of them, not only is he an amazing teacher, but he is there for us with anything. If the school is attempting to build up the community, they should not fire the teachers who connect with the students. Doing this is going to cause confusion and emotional distress in the students, which will hinder them from the best possible science education. This petition is not only in the hopes of getting out teacher back, but giving him the recognition he deserves.
