If term 3 summer school is OPTIONAL then so should be the payment!

I have been terminated from work, henceforth I want to withdraw my children from school and yet the school still insisted me to pay the full school fees for both of my children in order to receive the school transfer letter. This is so inhuman!

60-70% discount should be provided on term 3

I agree, 20% discount with what is being offered is not fair at all. You will lose the trust of a lot of parents if you don’t participate in fair and open dialogue.

A lot of people have been badly affected at this time. The school needs to be fair and charge for what they provide.

I ask the school to be reasonable and fair. Discount should be at least 50٪

The summer school option is pathetic. No wonder they are claiming it is free. One to two YouTube links a day!
I am very disappointed in the school’s response. If they were still trying to provide top quality education then I would be happy to pay for the third term. However, this is no where near equivalent.
Why are we obliged to pay fees but the school is not obliged to keep up their side of the agreement? I understand the ministry took the decision to close the term early, in that case the school should either charge us for the education they actually provided OR actually provide a decent online equivalent to what we actually paid for.

I absolutely agree. Couldn't have said it better. Infact since we lost a month of term 2. I think we should all just not pay for term 3.

There should be a fair calculation to the parents and school, obviously 20% is not fair and enough

I think AGS has been very generous in offering a 20% discount. It's not an ideal situation for anyone, but I have been impressed with the amount of effort my children's teachers have been putting in. If people are suffering financially from coronavirus, then I think the best option is to contact the school to discuss. If you are still being paid in full though, I believe it's a moral obligation to pay for the term. If everyone decides to stop paying or to only pay a fraction of what is owed, then we won't have a school to go back to when all this is over.

It's only fair and makes sense to further reduce the 3rd term fees due to the school closure.

The fees should reduce cuz the online learning is easy but the load is increse for us. Also., we have work and when we return we have to study our kids and explain for them and be with them all time while opening the resources.. So the school should reduce the fees

The demand is very reasonable. I hope the school authorities reciprocate positively.

The school should work with parents to find an amicable, fair and transparent solution particularly during this exceptional times whereby a large number of parents are either directly or indirectly affected by the COVID-19 impact. The one way solution and communication offered by the school is not healthy and will have a long term repercussion on the school’s reputation as well as relationship with parents. In my humble opinion, a more professional and palatable approach is for the school to offer the “optional” summer school curriculum at 50% discount given the substantial reduction and dilution of overall learning environment and experience offered via online modules. It is crucial for both parties to quickly strike a win-win solution and move forward.

We should get further reductions in fees considering that half of the effort is spent by parents

Completely onboard with this decision
