As residents of Amsterdam Zuid we would like to protest the fact that there is no where in the neighborhood for a toddler to play. While there are many small playgrounds in the area (such as in Sarphatipark or Hendrik de Keijserplein) they are only suitable for children over 2 at least. Considering that under the age of 1 a child cannot still walk and they certianly cannot climb, the only playing equipment they can use is a sandbox and a swing. In winter time the sanboxes are usually inactive and while some playgrounds have swings, there are no safe swings with bars (suitable for toddlers). We request that the Gemeente put swings in our neighborhood so that children of all ages can enjoy the city of Amsterdam equally.
