I'm mom of two boys. We are living in Newbridge from 11 years. If I want to go with my kids to have a ffew on a playground we have to go to Naas,, Kildare or kilculen. There is almost nothing in Newbridge. We really really need another one. Bigger than the one which is already there. Newbridge is a big town with lots of kids.

To have a safe place for all children to play is an essential part of any community. We need a gated secure playground that is suitable for all ages and abilities. one playground with a couple of swings is not enough, Children 1-3 yrs need very different equipment to that of a 9-10 year old. Children with special needs also need to be taken into account and catered for. There is so much emphasis placed on getting children fit and healthy and a playground can be the center of a communities way to start introducing children to activity in a fun safe way. (reference Maynooth playground as being a playground to mirror for Newbridge)
