We, the undersigned, would like a playground in Newbridge, Co.Kildare This area has changed and grown dramatically within the past decade, but the park spaces have lagged behind in some ways. Although this is a wonderfully family-friendly area in so many ways, the children need a place to play.

In the past few years, many children have moved - or been born - into the area.

Hundreds, if not thousands, of additional children go to creche or primary school here. Yet, there are no public playgrounds open full time,

It is our responsibility to provide a safe place for local and visiting children to play.

We look forward to working together to make this area even more vibrant.

I'm mom of two boys. We are living in Newbridge from 11 years. If I want to go with my kids to have a ffew on a playground we have to go to Naas,, Kildare or kilculen. There is almost nothing in Newbridge. We really really need another one. Bigger than the one which is already there. Newbridge is a big town with lots of kids.

To have a safe place for all children to play is an essential part of any community. We need a gated secure playground that is suitable for all ages and abilities. one playground with a couple of swings is not enough, Children 1-3 yrs need very different equipment to that of a 9-10 year old. Children with special needs also need to be taken into account and catered for. There is so much emphasis placed on getting children fit and healthy and a playground can be the center of a communities way to start introducing children to activity in a fun safe way. (reference Maynooth playground as being a playground to mirror for Newbridge)

Hi. Be really great with new playground for kids. This one next to sports centre it's not anuf. It's only open when the sports centre isn't open so on all bank holidays, Christmas ane Ester time it's closes. It's closes on the time when mostly parents have free time and can't spent the time at the playground.

A playground for Newbridge that is enclosed and safe for all. Similar to a playground in Maynooth. Suitable for children with special needs.

Definitely needed. Park alongside the liffy would be perfect as kids use the outdoor gym as a playground and it is dangerous as they are so young.

I can't believe the council spent money putting exercise equipment in the park instead of a playground. Every time I got to the park you see dozens of kids playing on it, not the adults it was intended for. A playground would have been a better spend of money. At this time we drive to Kildare or kilcullen to use the playgrounds there.

Great idea - The "Strand" Liffey Linear Park has so much space available, it would be great to see a playground built there!
