This petition is to enforce the Zoning Ordinance that governs the Playa del Rey plant operations as it pertains to noise. Pursuant to the zoning ordinance, the Playa del Rey plant must use all technically feasible means to limit the sound produced by operations to a maximum of 70 decibels measured at a distance of 50 yards outside of plant boundaries. Additionally, all production equipment used must be constructed and used so that no noise, vibration, dust, odor, or other harmful or annoying substance shall never be permitted to result from operations which thereto cause injury or annoyance to any person living in the vicinity.

We are petitioning the City for enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance.  The Playa del Rey plant is producing excessive noise all hours of the day and night, which is causing disruption to the local residents in the vicinity.  We want this excessive noise to stop immediately.
