My father is John Mihalcin of Brookfield, OH. Right now he is fighting for his life with Covid-19 in Sharon Regional Hospital’s ICU in Sharon, PA. He’s in critical condition and in desperate need of a plasma donation from a Covid patient who has recovered, but he’s currently on a waiting list. We have several individuals who have recovered from the virus and are willing to donate plasma specifically to him. We are told by the Red Cross that they cannot do that and can only donate to the general fund. We are desperately requesting that these individuals be allowed to donate their plasma to him as it can help his condition significantly. He is a lifelong resident of Trumbull County. He served in the Army Reserves in the 60’s and worked 30 years in a steel mill to support his family. He’s an amazing father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loves oldies music, playing golf, and watching sports. He loves being at the beach. His favorite thing in the world is spending time with his family. He married the love of his life, Linda, 53 years ago! His family would appreciate your signature to help get him the treatment that he so desperately needs. Let these individuals donate to him! It’s their plasma, it should be their choice! Please share this with as many people as possible. Thank you and God bless.

According to an nbcphiladelphia.com, "A Chester County woman who recovered from the novel coronavirus stepped up to become America’s first Red Cross donor to give life-saving plasma to two critically ill COVID-19 patients, including her own family member."

Are we to believe that Red Cross allows one person in Pennsylvania to donate her plasma to a family member, but it will not allow our friend to donate plasma to our father?! How is this fair?
