Planning Objection - 22 & 22A Thornton rd 2017

I would like to add my objections to this planning application. For the following reasons 1) Likely increase in traffic and therefore safety concerns as there are 2 schools very close by. The impact is both in terms of increased risk of accidents and increased air pollution 2) The proposed development is not in keeping with the architecture of the surrounding area 3) Increased pressure on the local amenities and council services at a time where budgets are under severe pressure 4) Increased air pollution from the building works again this will have an impact on the local school children Finally I cannot see the benefit that the local community will receive from this development

Please don't build here. My son goes to the White House school and there are already too many people driving up that road often too fast. We don't drive to the school itself but find simply crossing the road challenging.

I object to this application due to increased traffic and safety concerns for the children from the many primary schools in the area.

I object to this application, the traffic and parking is already strained with 2 primary schools very close by,

I object to this planning request because of concerns over increased numbers of parked cars and general traffic congestion on this already very busy street with two primary schools.

I object to the planning request primarily as I think it will increase the number of cars needing to be parked in an already limited parking area due to the limited provision of new spaces therefore making the area more congested and less safe and it looks like it will restrict light to the school next door and overlook the playground.

I object to this development for the following reasons: 1. Not in line with neigbourhood's appearance; 2. Loss of sunlight; 3. Loss of privacy in front of a school, 4. Effect on additional parking and traffic; 5. Loss of trees

I object to this planning application as tall flats will impact on the playground light for the school nearby. Multiple occupancy flats will mean multiple cars and this will be difficult for the school as well.

I strongly object to this planning application due to the detrimental effects this could have on the young children attending this school. An increase in traffic and a loss of privacy could put children at risk.

I object to the planning application upon the grounds that the flats would directly overlook the Whitehouse School playground. The height of the flats might adversely effect the amount of light falling on the playground thus depriving the children of the environmental benefit of sunlight much needed especially in the Winter months. Moreover, the block is completely out of character with the immediate amenity which is primarily detached properties.

As a parent with young children at the nearby school I have strong reservations about the increase in traffic, in an already congested area. I am also concerned about those overlooking the school playground.

I strongly object to this planning application on the basis that the proposed flats will look directly over a school and, in particular, its playground, which is also used for sports activities. The school is situated in a very busy thoroughfare as it is, but these flats would lead to a substantial spike in car movements in extremely close proximity to the school. This is likely to be very dangerous for the primary school age children that attend, the vast majority of whom arrive on foot, by scooter or bicycle. I believe this would be particularly prevalent during morning drop off. i would urge the council to reject this application.

I object to this planning application on the basis that these flats will look directly over a school playground. Also the increase in traffic and parking would have a large negative impact to an already very busy area. An increase in traffic would also put the children walking to school at an increased risk.

The area is already heavily populated with multipul blocks of flats. The proposed development would overlook a primary school and the playground and would mean a block of flats would be either side of the school building. Parking is already an issue in the area, and a new development would only add to this issue. I strongly object to this proposed development.

The proposed development is out of character with this street and area.

The proposed plans would increase the number of cars and traffic on the roads and put pressure on parking.
