Weapons In Space
Sometime in the near future, asteroids orbiting the Sun and other planets will be altered by the gravity of the body they are orbiting, or will collide with another asteroid, comet, or meteor. This will cause their paths through the planets to maintain a collision course with Earth. These asteroids, if deorbited, will come into contact with the surface of our planet, traveling at sufficiently high speeds. These impacts will cause widespread destruction, and major property damage and/or loss of life, depending on the position of the impact. This will, in turn, affect the lives of many people across the globe. Providing a defense station in orbit will help protect the Earth and its inhabitants from possible dangerous asteroid impacts. This is why we need to allow Weapons of Mass Destruction in outer space, purely for defensive purposes.
