My cousins go to college. Support the Dream Act
Plan B Description: A short documentary about the inevitable stalemate a son or daughter of illegal immigrant parents faces after graduation form High School. Since college and university students must be citizens, legal residents, or international students with a Student’s Visa; undocumented teenagers have virtually no educational options after graduation: this documentary aims at examining what plans, options, and eventual life paths these individuals will consider and undertake given their situation. The purpose of the documentary is to raise support for the Dream Act which would open a slim window of hope to those illegal minors who seek higher education; and to expose the weaknesses of the current immigration policies. Viewed from the perspective of a high school student of Mexican origin who studies in America and is faced with the difficult process of applying to college and planning his life, but has the privilege of living as a legal resident. My dearest cousins came with her parents to the US when they were young kids. One of them graduated on May 2011, my other cousin will graduate on May 20012 and my last cousin on May 2015. For them sadly there is no Plan A because they are illegals.
