We the people of Oconee County, GA desire Smart Growth. Please postpone further commercial development until a Master Plan is designed implementing:

1. Green spaces within retail spaces for the opportunity to have community, well-being, cultural events and recreation.

2. Multi-modal pedestrian paths networking our homes, schools, and retail spaces for a WALK-ABLE OCONEE.

3. Businesses that have wide buffers from the roads for storm-water run-off, that include landscaping and wide sidewalks in front with customer parking in the back. This will maintain our small-town community vibe, preserve aesthetics, and enable pedestrian mobility.

SMART-GROWTH involves development which is COMPATIBLE to our lifestyles promoting health, safety, better air-quality, conservation and foot/bike transportation. PLEASE PROTECT our town for a BETTER OCONEE NOW.
