Ryan- Thanks for your comments...I will be taking them and the petition to the Middleton City Council meeting on Tuesday night. I have the settings on the petition kind of locked down to try and cut down on spam and keep everything legit. I'll try and tweak. If you try to sign again later and can't, let me know, and if I don't see your name on the list by the time we take it I'll just literally write it on the bottom for you!

Everyone realizes that we need development and housing in Middleton. Please respect the thoughts and opinions of the residents, it is they who will have to live with the traffic, density, and noise.

I want more communication between the City of Middleton and its property owners. I just moved from a dense area to beautiful Middleton. I do not want to see low rises or high rises along University Ave. Thank you.

Also, apparently I can't sign the petition due to an "IP Restriction"

The disconnect between immediate residents and the officials approving this is a big concern. E-mails being lost or never received etc... "Progress" and removing "blighted" properties, which has seemed to be the buzz word in recent meetings, is certainly encouraged makes perfect sense. But at what expense to residents and by what time frame? I feel the already stressed road infrastructure needs to be figured out before allowing large residential buildings to butt right up to the existing foot print of University Ave. The narrow four lane road that University is, certainly served the small community well 20,30 even 50 years ago. But with the significant expansion westward it's become a hazard during peek travel times. This will only magnify the serious problem. It not only affects the immediate 1/4 mile where the proposed building is planned, but also the Fire Department not far away. Has anyone experienced the "Middleton Stoplight District" that includes 5 stop lights about every 250 yards (with only one pseudo left turn lane on one of them) spanning from Park St to HWY 12? I can only imagine this becoming more of an issue. Middleton has a great Fire Department, but what good is it if they can't get the trucks out of the garage due to massive back-ups? Certainly a town has a delicate balance to manage the fine line between commercial structures and residential properties. The better compromise is to probably consider turning the faucet down on condensed residential structures of 30 + "single person" units to a bit more practical 10-20 units that could accommodate possible family situations (ie: 2 or more bedroom units). I'm sure the developers will still make plenty of money based on the rent they are asking. Anyway, I know my thoughts are a bit all over the place. But based on what has transpired with the lack of feedback not being received, it seems they may not be hearing the voice of their constituents al

This area already has too much traffic.

We already have too much traffic in Middleton and too much density of population. We need to stay like a small town and a little Tokyo with high rises on every block.

I think this is far to large a bulding for that area.

Consult Middleton residents concerns first

I am opposed to the proposal for a four-story apartment building at 6814, 6818, and 6824 University Avenue. It will take away nearby residents' access to light. The initial planning has been done with insufficient notification to area residents.
