We are signing this petition in the effort to encourage the Jones County Board of Supervisors, specifically our Beat 1 Supervisor - George Walters, to amend the yield sign at the intersection of Hogan and Matthews Road to a BLINKING stop sign. This is to decrease distracted drivers from failing to yield at the appropriate time. Residents of the Matthews community, and those traveling through this area, have noticed nervous close encounters with distracted and oblivious drivers traveling east towards Springhill. These signatures represent concerns citizens of Jones County. To the Board of Supervisors, we appreciate your attention to this matter.
