The pool was the hub of the community in its hay day it certainly can be again. There is a real need for a fantastic facility like this in Pittenweem.

Should never have been abandoned and wantonly destroyed in the first place.

A non-sanitised, healthy, presumed non-profit benefit to the community.

This is a much needed resource in a rural area with no local swimming pool. Restoring the pool with bring so many benefits to the area, from access to the facility for locals (improved health) to bringing in tourism and helping local businesses.

I loved the pool when I was a boy, it would be amazing to see it given a new lease of life.

Spend many childhood summers here. Would be great to see families making memories again here.

I learned to swim at the Step Rock in St Andrews, and it’s gone now, so it would be great to have Pittenweem pool restored.

The Bathing Pool was probably THE hub of the community, throughout the Summer, when I was growing up in Pittenweem. The loss of this facility, due to neglect, has robbed generations of young people of the chance to learn to be safe in the water. Let's have it back, please.

This is a wonderful asset to the Burgh of Pittenweem and has been used well over decades. Salt, fresh, clean water. It only went into disrepair when the Burghs in Fife lost their control to the County.

Pittenweem pool is not only of historic interest it is also part of the culture of the town. It must be restored as an important part of our heritage.
