Don’t I use to camp there once and I liked it a lot

As a registered resource in the national registry this region already enjoys protection by federal law under the NHPA of 1968 (as amended). Local land use should be responsive to the community and include protections appropriate to a national treasure. If a community has banded together to request an historic overlay zone that restricts their use as property owners, that community should be heard and their requests honored as much as legally and feasibly possible. Historic preservation is how we keep our older communities vital and vibrant. It is included in CEQA environmental review for a reason - any threat to a cultural or historic resource is very likely a threat to the environment as well! ( and besides San Berdoo.. these people look serious to me. They will likely sue the pants off of you if you don’t attempt to include all reasonable aspects of their zoning overlay into your land use and planning decisions! Do the right thing ! ) thank you

Please preserve the unique and historic nature of Pioneertown for future generations! In Las Vegas, NV we have lost Historic Old West Town Bonnie Springs to such a thing and it has been a huge blow to most individuals and families in our County!

Please add the historic overlay to Mane street. The draw and appeal of Pioneertown is the rustic community. I live in San Bernardino County and regularly visit. The dangers of no protection are to change the character of what has become a draw to the community. Please support the agitprop overlay to provide responsible development.

I am a long-time - 33 year - property owner in the 92268 zip code - and a full-time resident for 11 years who participated in the Community Action Guide process. We have been lead to believe that through community activism the Community Action Guide would evolve into a more specific and protective document. I fully expect this grass-roots generated, strongly supported proposal for the Mane Street Historic Overlay by the local residents, will become a reality! It's time. It's needed! Let's do it!

Once authentic history is altered it's no longer history. There's no going back, it's part of the fabric of our state & needs to be preserved for future generations. Save Pioneertown! Let Starbuck's & Lucky Bowl go somewhere else.

There’s plenty of space available for use that is NOT Pioneer Town. I’m sure your desire to build in and around the historic landmark will also inhibit the dark sky preserve the area boasts. Develop your newest concrete jungle elsewhere.

Please preserve Pioneertown Mane St. and put it on the National Historic Registry. It is a wonderful family oriented place to visit.

First visited this unique place in the mid 1970s. With so many changes in this world, it would be a total shame to not protect this area and then lose its charm and atmosphere.
