Certainly, you know that, breast cancer in women under 40 is often not detected until it is in its later stages, by which time it is more aggressive and less responsive to hormone therapies. Despite these facts, there is a lack of awareness about the risks of breast cancer for young women and men and the unique challenges facing them with the disease.
Also, many of our boys and their families have experienced great losses due to breast cancer and are ready and willing to show support for their loved ones in life and on the field.
Since October is breast cancer awareness month, please help our boys and their willingness to spread awareness of this dreadful disease by allowing them to "Pink Out" for their grandmothers, their mothers, their aunts, their cousins, their teachers, and friends.

My mother and grandmother are breast cancer survivors, let the team show support!
My mother is currently battling breast cancer and she has personally bought her grandson pink attire.
Just this last week I had to go for a diagnostic mammography, which thank God all was negative. Its definitely important to support and create awareness. We will still be Spartan Tough even with pink!
My mom passed away from breast cancer 4 months ago! And it would really be great for the boys to show support for the cause!
Cancer is something that will. Or has touched your football team. With the attitude that pink doesn't win games is unfair to the players that have lost or even delt with this disease....my sons father died of Cancer. Let's support our loved ones that is living with cancer as well as the ones that died,.
Bringing awareness to breast cancer is important and your ability to explain that is excellent and makes your petition strong.

Give the boys an opportunity to honor and remember their loved ones that are currently battling or have passed away from breast cancer. The boys wearing pink could remind someone to schedule their mammogram. Early detection saves lives!
