The Piero Owner(s) and/or Management have selected/signed an exclusive contract with SBCHE/ATTHE as the only TV Service Provider for Residents at the Piero Apartments. By doing so, it dramatically diminishes the likelihood that SBCHE/ATTHE will compete head-to-head with cable companies or other providers in the video programming market. This is already apparent at the Piero community. That is, Residents are stuck with outdated receivers and other equipment, poor signal quality, consistent outages, radio (RF) interference (see below), consistent loss of satellite signal, pixelation and sound problems, terrible customer service, no DVR QAM Dish Network Compatible Receivers, NO HDTV (other than over-the-air, even if you get an \"HD Box\" and order the \"HD Package\", the channels are received in DTV (digital) not HD quality, and higher prices (box fees - which Dish Network alone does not charge a rental fee for the first 2 boxes, and unsubstantiated maintenance fees) among other things. The Piero is not wired for a cable service provider or another provider to give the residents more than one television service option - which is a monopoly. They are only wired for the Dish Network service through SBCHE/ATTHE. NOTE: Outdated cable was used. The Piero used RG-59 cable (high RF loss and interference) instead of RG-6 cable (standard for digital TV). This drastically reduces future options, such as high bandwith On-Demand Video Options and TRUE DTV or HDTV. We (the Piero Residents) therefore request Piero Owner(s) and/or Management to install and provide another TV service option at the Piero Apartments in a timely manner. If there is no follow through, the FCC and any other appropriate government agency will be notified (including the Los Angeles Consumer Affairs Department) to remedy the situation.
