I do not live in Visalia, but play on their courts frequently. This Visalia group is the most committed group of pballers in the Central Valley. All cities would be lucky to have such dedication and support from the community to improve the health of the city and the community. Step up City of Visalia, and re-purpose the courts. You won't regret it!!!

Pickleball is a much faster growing sport than tennis. And already, whenever I have visited Plaza Park there were more games of pickleball than tennis being played, Yet there are many more tennis than pickelball courts in Visalia, and a given amount of space can serve more players at pickleball than tennis.

I am in my 70's and have never played sports before.. I love this game and am recruiting all my friends to play. It is an incredible opportunity for seniors to become and stay active, socialize and have fun. We need dedicated pickleball courts! Our taxes count too.....

Please consider this request to convert two Plaza tennis courts to pickle-ball courts. It's gaining popularity faster than any game in the country and Visalia should be part of the wave. I'm also a tennis player and from all I see, the Plaza courts are way under utilized for tennis- 2 courts won't impact the tennis community much but will be fantastic for the booming pickleball community.

I am a racket player, I play tennis, racquetball, handball, ping-pong, and Pickleball. I enjoy them all and I appreciate having places to play. It is my belief from experience and observation, that the Plaza tennis courts are not fully used while P'ball enthusiasts could use more facilities due to their sheer numbers and regular presence at the courts. This should not be viewed as a tennis vs p'ball contest, but as a means to maximize existing resources for all concerned.
