Pickleball is a growing sport that has a strong future nationwide. I have watched practice sessions at Brittlebank Park (photographed a few) and I was amazed as to how many people in Terre Haute play it. As a former Tennis player, I look forward to learning the game and participating.
We recently stayed at a RV resort in Southern Florida where the pickle ball courts were a big draw. Pushing out the shuffleboard crowd :)
As we work to improve the quality of life in Vigo County, investing in improving Brittlebank Park as a premier pickle ball facility will pay big dividends for our community as a whole.
As a public office holder, I recognize how tight budgets are. Many taxpayers utilize the park-so for me its a positive investment.
When the County purchased the former IP property near the Wabash River, I thought an ideal use for it was a national caliber pickleball facility. It is something we can still do.

The pickleball club has paid for the costliest improvements at Brittlebank Park. We need the city to help with the next phase.

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the United States. We have a great group of players in Terre Haute, but if we don't get more courts players are going to go elsewhere.

Signed & Supported. Should become a high priority for the city. No other recreational sport improves a city's quality of life, health of population, and economics more than Pickleball. (based on observation and personal experience). City officials: please prioritize and achieve these goals. If in doubt, I encourage you to come down to Brittlebank during Pickleball play, and see what it's all about.

More players require more courts. The Greater Terre Haute Pickleball Association payed to have six courts at Brittlebank Park resurfaced. We need help from the city of Terre Haute to build more courts.

TerreHaute.com lists "playing Pickleball at Brittlebank Park as one of the top 100 things to do in Terre Haute. There really needs to be running water and a working restroom.

I was born and raised in the city of Terre Haute. I started playing the great sport of pickleball 5 years ago. Terre Haute has the chance to be the home to some great tournaments, but right now it is hard with the limited space. It would be great to have these improvements made.

Yes, we need more pickleball courts in Terre Haute! The number of pickleball players is growing exponentially. This sport allows young and old interact in a great way and for people in the community to get to know each other.

Great sport for the older generation and the young. We definitely need improvements to accommodate the increased number of participants and to bring people in from out of town for tournaments.
