I agree the safety of our children is paramount. The sooner this happens the better.

The changes proposed for our school's pick up and drop zones are a great idea. One of the biggest causes of congestion and danger to our children is the number of parents being NON-COMPLIANT with pick-up/drop-off rules. This is despite repeated communication from the school. Examples are: parents parking in the drop off zone for up to 15 mins to walk their children into school and/or attend the morning assemblies; dropping off/picking up kids in the NO STOPPING zone; not moving right up to the furthest drop off/pick off point. The proposed system should overcome these non-compliance issues, as well as the other issues causing congestion: apartment construction and the chaos of light rail development on the horizon.

I think the changes proposed by Kensington Public School waiting gate is long overdue. Bowral St gate is the logical solution to the safety of our children.

The congestion on Doncaster Avenue during drop off and pick up times is too dangerous to ignore any longer. The children of Kensington need this new pick up/ drop off zone ASAP.

The traffic jams along Doncaster Rd and the associated stress prompted me to abandon the afternoon pick up by car. The proposed Bowral St solution is brilliant. A few small changes will make a huge difference for families.

This is a great idea and I am all for it. Far superior to the current untenable situation

I've seen a similar system work very well on Coogee Bay Road for Claremont College.

Any new signage must be clear and visible. Trees along the nature strip must not be allowed to obscure the signage.
