This petition is on behalf of the students who took physics2140 Spring/Summer with Professor Taylor and Professor Thakur. We believe we have been treated unfairly and with disrespect throughout the semester, and notably with the unfair final exam we were given at the end (which was worth 30% of our grade). We were told Professor Taylor would write the exam, but that was not the case. We were also told nothing in the syllabus Professor Taylor gave us would change. However, the format of the actual final exam was a lot different from the format described in the syllabus. Professor Thakur's 2% curve did not help most of us, and was not enough to compensate for this final exam. It was stressful enough that Professors were changed half-way through semester, and many students were negatively affected by that. This class was a hassle to many of us.
