Yo Seahawks! Were you or a friend of yours signed up for one of the following classes? Fencing Beginning Yoga Intermediate Yoga Tennis I Tennis II Martial Arts Exercise Testing These stimulating courses will be eliminated at SMCM in the name of 'cost reduction measures'. St. Mary's needs to reevaluate its priorities and values, and who better to remind them of that than the student body? August is right around the corner and we don't have much time to collect signatures before the semester starts, so please spread the word quickly to all your fellow St. Mary's comrades! Even if you weren't intending on taking one of these classes, signing a petition is quick and easy and could really help us out. There's power in numbers! Please also consider emailing an administrative member and telling them how unnecessary and damaging these cuts are. The short notice of their impending elimination indicates that some professors may now be out of a job and well over a hundred students potentially have to deal with reorganizing their schedules the first week of class. We signed up for these courses over 3 months ago, and it'd be super rad if we could mobilize within the next month to keep them afloat. Thank you everyone!!
