After registering for the class many students checked their schedules, and saw that the professor Amy Oliver had been switched out for another professor, Linda Okamura. This made us all collectively unhappy. Several students dropped out as soon as we learned about the change.We were expecting to have Amy Oliver and we are now petitioning to have Amy Oliver reinstated as our professor on Wednesday nights, Class Code 3025, for the Fall semester of 2012. We have been told that the reasoning behind the change had to do with seniority, but what about what the students want? We pay for an education at los Angeles City College, if we prefer a professor, it is important to us that LACC's Adminstration, would take it under consideration. We know that Los Angeles City College listens to their students, so hear us now.
