Support Philadelphia Midwife Collective's Future Birth Center!

I live in Mount Airy, not far from the proposed site of the birth center. The Philadelphia midwife collective helped me and my partner have our baby, and they are fantastic organization. I love that they want to open a birth center in my neighborhood!

This is a valuable initiative at a time when women’s healthcare is in jeopardy!

Philadelphians and nearby neighborhood residents would greatly benefit from a birth center . Research is clear reducing/eliminating maternal depression has the greatest impact in preventing future negative outcomes. Supporting people to give birth where they feel safe will bring positive outcomes to their families and communities. Want to greatly reduce violence and crime and improve health outcomes- reduce/eliminate maternal perinatal depression.

This birth center will provide essential care to philadelphia parents, who until now have had to travel out of the city for out of hospital birth.
