Phase Out iPads in the Parsippany Troy-Hills School District

We should keep our ipads.

Hi! They are actually planning on switching both current sophomores and current juniors to Chromebooks next year! It’s unfair for everyone, and I definitely agree that the switch halfway through high school is completely pointless and makes life harder for next year’s juniors and seniors.

The problem with switching to Chromebooks is the fact that the juniors who will be seniors next year are used to these devices. The practicality of an iPad is superior to a Chromebook. Why should the class of 2019 gain a new device during their last year when they are so accustomed to an iPad? Will the class of 2020 get Chromebooks as well? As to my current knowledge, of they are not. Now, with that being said, doesn’t that sound stupid? Let the class if 2019 keep the iPads.

I don’t go to this school but this affects my family because my sister goes to this school and not having an iPad sucks.

The chromebooks are problematic (just hearing comments from the freshman) just let us keep the iPads until we’ve graduated.

IPads are easier to use than chromebooks

The freshman complain all the time about how to chrome books break so easily and that they can’t evet get on things because of how slow they are and I don’t think the entire school should have to deal with that. Elementary school kids use the chrome books and we shouldn’t have to it’s not fair

Why waste that money

I believe the current students should not switch to chromebooks because we will be graduating soon , atleast the juniors, and it will be complicated to switch to a device we are not used to. If anything we will be focused more on figuring out how to use them and mess around with them, rather than learning in class.

I am a strong advocate for keeping the ipads and it would be hindering our education if they are replaced with chromebooks.

The chrome books suck and so many people complain that they break so easily and that’s not something I wanted to deal with.

I find it useless to trade all these efficient iPads that we are so accustomed to, for Chromebooks that have less functions to use for classwork.

I don't want the chrome books

I believe that it’s fundamental for rising juniors and seniors to keep ipads because we are more accustomed to the iPad’s versatility such as the notability app and picture/video recording functions.

Notability on the Ipad is far better than the chromebook's Kami.

New update in notability recently and will continue to be better than what chrome books will ever give us.

The iPad has better and efficient features that enable students to get the most from lessons and the Chromebooks compare no where near them. Taking away such an extremely useful tool from my learning experience, as well as hundreds of others, would be incredibly ridiculous.
