We, the concern residents of Creighton & Flin Flon; as well as concerned citizens are signing this petition in regards of the lack of care placed for Phantom Lake. We would like to see its current state and condition resolved so that various programs, space, and any outlaying concerns addressed by the Owners of this once great family destination. Due to its current state it is an eye sore, and shows the lack of concern for the property. We would like to work with the current owners to bring it back, and provide a local, historical landmark the quality that it once had. Providing programs for all generations, a family space, and a boast in our tourism for both surrounding communities, and businesses.

Phantom Lake has a lengthy history dating back from 1932. Paddy Faubert & Lillian Smith both engaging the Flin Flon businesses in to a partnership to develop a Summer resort. Change houses, boat rentals, diving platforms and a board walk that extended out 400 feet out in to the water. A dance Pavilion. In 1943 The Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting Co., Ltd. Took over the development of Phantom Lake. Which prepared a four page photographic spread and story in Norther Lights Magazine. Which displayed footpaths that led from the town to the beach. Expanses of grass, picnic sites, docks, changed houses, bandstand and play ground equipment. This is apart of our history, a apart of our communities, and apart of what makes living up North great!
