I'm I the only one with kids that that feels this way?... I try to watch a movie with my kids (14 and 18 years old now) and just have to hope that a PG-13 movie isn't filled with profanity and "sexual humor" throughout. Some PG-13 movies that are action flicks are expected to have scenes of explosions, violence and such in them, and that is totally fine, we know what we are watching. However, there is never any way to know how much profanity they will have. Some have a little, some have a lot, and others actually have none. There is no rhyme or reason to it. I'm sick of watching movies with good story lines, only to turn them off simply because I'm embarrassed to watch them with my kids. Even without my kids around I don't like to hear it, and if I were to go back to watch to see what the ending of a movie is that I had earlier turned off because my kids were in the room, well, that would make me a hypocrite, so I don't.

Some may say, "Do you think your kids haven't heard that stuff from their peers at school before?" My answer, "Yes, sure they have. However, if it weren't for all of our movies filled with that garbage, and the writers and directors would get more creative with their word choices, then even other peoples language in real life would clean up." That cleaning up would go for adults as well, so eventually children aren't exposed to it.

In my opinion, having to use profanity to show anger or to make someone feel "cool" is very uncreative. Actually it's boarding the line of being a loser and it shows ignorance. If one is to go for an important job interview at the average company, are they going to look at the interviewer and expect to get hired if they say, "S*** - I know I can do this F'ing job! I'm gonna take this F'ing company to a whole other level of profits, and that's why you need to hire my A**. Of course they aren't going to get the job. So why let our youth hear this crap every day in the things they watch, in turn making them insensitive to it and eventually when they grow up letting that slip out when looking for a job?

Another thing... why so many suggestive sex scenes in PG-13 movies? What, are we trying to create, more babies that wind up in broken families? Get rid of that too in any movie below an "R" rating!

Please, anyone that feels this way please sign this petition. Once we get enough signatures it will be sent to theMPAA's Classification and Rating Administration. According to anarticle I read, they say if there is enough outcry from parentsabout the issue with the F bomb and such in PG-13 movies they will change their rules in allowing it in there. Let us see if they'll stick to their word.

Anyway, please sign this if you feel the same way.
