I have been hearing from so many people struggling to balance these assignments with our other core classes. The disconnect between the lab instructors and the lectures is creating a real burden that shouldn't exist in a pass fail course. I am working on getting these concerns in front of the department heads so they finally understand how unfair this grading structure feels.

Seeing so many classmates speak up about this struggle proves how burnt out we all feel. My heart is heavy seeing how many of you are drowning in this workload while just trying to survive our core classes.

The workload is seriously insane for a pass fail class. I barely have time for my actual major classes because pfuns taking all my time. This needs to change asap.
The labs are so confusing and totally disconnected from what we do in lecture. How are we supposed to pass when nothing matches up
The final exam needs to be a written theory based exam in order for us to pass.
Pfun has been forcing me to divert time away from the other SDP electives I have that are crucial for me to take in order to learn about the field and make progress in my own discipline. Pfun has been causing me unprecedented mental stress and emotional exhaustion and I find it ridiculous that this exhaustion is being caused by something I did not choose to take voluntarily. I am extremely worried about my performance this semester because my grades for other subjects are being affected by the time pfun requires me to dedicate to its practice.
Too much workload with lab class works and homeworks and extra practice questions. 2 and a half hour lab is too much. It's hard to concentrate this long on a subject that's already too hard and mentally drains you faster than any other subject. Extremely hard quizzes.
