Extend PFA law to include those who choose celibacy

In the state of Pennsylvania, one cannot get a restraining order. However, PA does recognize the use of a PFA, or protection from abuse order. Unfortunately, one may not obtain a PFA if they have not had sexual intercourse with their abuser and/or stalker. (Please note, this does not extend to family members). For example, if a girl goes out on a couple dates with a guy (or vice versa)and he begins to stalk or harass her, she cannot get (other circumstances pending) a PFA against him, unless they have had sexual intercourse. A person's sexual history or choices should not be used to determine whether or not they deserve the right to a PFA. Perpetrators do not discriminate; abuse and stalking happens regardless of one's celibacy or lack thereof. So help me bring this to the attention of our state representatives in order to change PA PFA law to extend to those who both have and have not had sexual intercourse with their abusers and/or stalkers.
