The spirit of community garden should not only be kept up by committed gardeners, but most importantly it’s a demonstration of social integration and inclusivity. Do we still want an intact social compact?

I support! Yes, their contribution have made the community a more friendly and pleasant place. Geok Hong has sacrificed her time and energy during the covid period and Mrs Lee has made the garden a more interesting place by sharing her Korean culture.

They are active members of this community and been contributing widely and for a long time. It is not fair to them and a loss to us if we were to evict them due to a change of rules.

Our garden community is made up of individuals like myself, who became members because it seemed a very good idea at the time. It was November 2016 and 6 years on, our community has bonded and matured only because we have with members who work hard in their individual plots but give time to advance the good of this communal property. Good ideas succeed only with hard work and dedication.
Ong Geok Hong and Mrs Lee Youngja are examples of passion, commitment and friendship and form the stable core of gardeners who are reliable and share their love for growing.

I think it is more important that they love gardening and they are willing to help other gardeners on how to grow vegetables. I learn a lot from them.

“Community gardens provide a platform to bond…” We have indeed bonded with Geok Hong and Mrs Lee who are integral to our community and we hope that they can remain so.

They are good role model gardeners in our community garden and should be given opportunity to extend their plots especially when there are excess plots.

Both Geok Hong and Mrs Lee had continuously contributed to the community garden almost every day when they are in the garden. They should be given the permission to renew the contract as they are a good role model to many gardeners

Hv learned a lot from both of them. They are willing to share their experience. I am a new gardener and know nothing about gardening. I managed to grow pretty nice vege with their guidance. They do share their harvest so we can try the vege before we decide to grow.

Totally agree with all the points raised. Since there will be many excess plots for the coming new term, these committed and contributing gardeners should be allowed to stay until their plots are needed to satisfy new applicants.
