Petition - We Want Nick Tweet as Dillingham Elementary Principal

Nick Tweet has done an awesome job as principal this year and last year. He not only cares for the students but his staff as well.

Nick is more than competent for this position. It is unfathomable to think the Dillingham City School District would be able to find a better qualified candidate than Nick Tweet.

Please keep Mr. Tweet as principal.

I support Nick Tweet being reinstated as principal for DES next year. As a former colleague of his, his empathetic and compassionate approach in assisting and guiding students is a noteworthy strength that Dillingham youth deserve. Students and staff trust and value his leadership. Relocating him to the district office is a disservice to DES students + their families and the teachers.

Mr. Tweet has been an exceptional leader for the staff and students at Dillingham Elementary school. He has fostered a positive environment that makes students excited to learn, feel safe, and enjoy coming to school. As a teacher under Mr Tweet’s leadership, he has helped me to grow professionally through constructive feedback and unwavering support. The school and community would experience great loss if Mr. Tweet was not able to return to his position as principal and Mrs. Tweet no longer served as our Speech and Language Pathologist. His love of our community and dedication to our students have been shown for nearly two decades, and I cannot imagine our district without the Tweets.

I support Nick Tweet being reinstated as principal for next school year.

Nick Tweet has the calm and caring leadership qualities of a great principal. He has been a strong advocate for student learning including literacy development with Dillingham Elementary for 16 years. He connects with the students and enhances their learning every day throughout the building. He has my support and I believe he should stay as elementary principal.

I support retaining Nick Tweet as Elementary School Principal. We must maintain the quality and integrity of the Elementary School through consistently and maintaining the excellent personal that are there.

Nick tweet is one of the best decision for principal in our elementary school, I hope my son will have him next year when he starts kindergarten. All of the abrupt changes without explanation worry me that the superintendent is abusing her power and that maybe we the “the parents” need to rethink her position and maybe create a petition to get her out of her seat so she can move on and let things that work keep working. -Bert Luckhurst

In the short time my son has been going school here, Mr Tweet had went above and beyond for my son and I. In my sons condition, he went to great lengths to make him feel welcomed and understood by other kids and did what was needed for my sons comfort and education. Every worry that I've ever had whether it was if or when my son wasn't treated right, he calmed and resolved it all. Always has an outstanding way of starting the school day for the kids that I find very helpful for them to learn not only educational but mentally as well. Letting him go would be a mistake and great loss for the school and community.

Our children deserve more than this revolving door of educators. It’s sad to say but this is the reason I am looking for residence in a different community as my child nears the age where she will begin her education.

Nick Tweet is vested in our children and community. People that are making this decision will be gone in less than 3 years. Stand up for Nick Tweet as he has advocated and cared for our children for years!!!

I support Nick Tweet, and want him to continue as the principal at Dillingham Elementary.
