Tori Conklin- 1L SBA Class Secretary
Hello Everyone! My name is Tori Conklin and I am running for 1L Class Secretary. I am very passionate about leadership, service, and community. I would love to have the opportunity to showcase these skills and be a part of an organization that gets to advocate for others.
During my time in undergrad at Albion College, I was the president of a pre-law fraternity--Phi Alpa Delta--during my time as president I coordinated many events, worked with others on my board, as well as recruited 12+ more members to join. After graduation, I committed to a year of service through an AmeriCorps program called City Year Detroit. I worked with ninth grade algebra students at Osborn High School as a student success coach. I also had the opportunity to work for the development squad at City Year helping with marketing, grant writing, and other forms of development for the organization. I also was a member of Corps Council where I acted as a representative on the behalf of my team and advocated, reported, and discussed any concerns or issues the team was having. I also used this role to advocate for my students at a larger level. I have a love for serving others and being a helping hand in my community. Which I hope to establish through this role.
I will do my due diligence as the class body secretary and perform all of my roles to the best of my ability. I will try my best to show up to all the meetings and perform my roles efficiently and effectively.
If I am elected as your 1L class Secretary I intend to do what I can for our class with the position I am in. I will be an advocate for all and take necessary steps to ensure everyones voices are heard. I hope you take the time to sign my petition to get my name on the ballot and vote for me as your class Secretary on Friday September, 22nd!
