Time has come for major changes to the school system

I agree with this petition. I feel deeply for the amount of students that will not get the opportunity to do the programs I got to, especially the VEMSA EMT program.

Our children should be top priority. They are our future. Administrative salaries are taking away our children's education. This should not happen, changes should be made at the Administrative level. Towns should be paying for our children's education, not salaries. With increasing salaries only the Administration staff benefits.

The Town of Jamaica pays dramatically more than most yet we have few students and no say in this budget. It is an outrage and the SU Board must make changes to its own budget. I’ve sat in the budget meetings to hear “why” the cuts keep going up without any cuts to administrative costs. Do better. These terrible cuts to education and killing our state.

Soon many more will have to leave our state. The way things are cannot prevail!

We need more transparency around this budget and budget process. We need to stop cutting student facing programs and take a closer look at cutting administrative costs.

If those working at the SU really care about the kids they will stop lining their pockets and keep student programming!

Please lower our costs if possible without cutting education quality. Let’s reduce admin burden, for example, we should not have admins for the sake of it

Payroll WAY TO HIGH @ superintendents office.

Please put the children first. I do not believe the high school needs two principals and should look how they can cut unnecessary staff and administrative jobs.

Let’s please stop cutting child-facing programming because the WCSU budget goes unscrutinized.
