Too close to playground. No common sense used by Council choosing this location. Seen many drinking alcohol and up to no good around Local McDonalds, canal & playing fields.

Because I don’t want to have to drive a mile as advised by Oliver Ryan to take my kids to a safe park, that is free from human faeces in the sandpit, drug paraphernalia and self harming alcohol dependent people. I pay enough council tax to have a clean safe park within walking distance!

Signing this petition. We, the law abiding, Council Tax paying residents should never have been put in this position. Placing the shelter overlooking a childrens play park, in what was once a quiet, SAFE, mainly elderly residential area is in my my A PURELY POLITICAL MOVE by we know who!

I am feeling less & less safe in my own neighbourhood and the fact that this is located by schools and a kids playground makes this 100% a bad decision. There is an uncomfortable vibe nearby when walking my dogs early evening with people drinking and loitering too.

This is a residential area and I didn't expect homeless people too be accomadated in the park where children play and they are drinking in the park through the day time when children are around there is empty buildings in Ashton town centre why can't they be housed there

Absolutely disgusted with this, I have not taken my children there since finding out about it some months ago. Whoever agreed this should be ashamed of themselves for expecting respectable, hardworking people to have to put up with this.

Totally understand with regards to the homeless situation etc, but next to a children’s play park is just not on.
I used to feel safe going there with my daughter now I don’t know what we will see. It’s just not been thought out.

Venue needs to be moved to a non residential area and not close to a children’s park or play school

Homeless site placed on a playground with men sitting in bushes and intimidating women. Why?

All for supporting the homeless but why put this on a children’s playground?

I understand that we have to help the homeless but why put this on a site that houses a children’s playground and also a Playgroup? At lot of mums/grandparents have felt intimidated by men in bushes trying to approach them

This is not a suitable venue , close to park and school and in the middle of a residential area

Imagine having to explain to your young child why a man is sleeping outside our house. I pay council tax for the upkeep and saftey of the community, i feel more unsafe than ever.

Next to a children play park is a completely unsuitable area

Whilst I have the utmost sympathy for the people involved
The council should have informed the people of Audenshaw before giving this facility for this purpose
It’s wholly unacceptable to have this in a children’s playground

Iv lived in audenshaw all my life I now have young children myself and rycroft park is my local park we’re I used to take my daughter for a lovely family afternoon and always feel safe.. unfortunately due to the current situation at the library I no longer can enjoy my days off with my daughter there.. something needs resolving here.. I think it’s disgusting local residents were not informed about this before the council allowed this
