Petition to Sutherland Shire Council to review the current laws with respect to recreational beach access for dogs and horses in Kurnell.

If this beach gets kids out of the house, to play with their dogs/ horses...why stop them! Don't change the law

Council listen to the shire residents and uphold what they want, keep our horses.

Why on earth would anyone want or need to change the beautiful and unique tradition of this beachside village of sharing the beach with horses and dogs. The joy and happiness this gives to so many, not only those participating with their horses and dogs but to passers by and visitors to the village. The excitement of children's faces to see horses on the beach or swimming and wading in the water is just priceless. Three generations of my family have walked their dogs and ridden their horses on that beach, please let's not lose this for generations to come.

This is the only few areas that you’re able to enjoy without leave your pet at home bored. I agree beaches which are very busy with people is not allowed dogs, but Kurnell is a quite calm area. That’s my point of view.

One of the very last beaches in Sydney still open to horses and dogs. Nearly EVERY single other beach doesn’t allow them. If people have that much of a problem with them they can go to one of the hundreds of other beaches around. Please let us keep this one as free access to all!!!

Don’t change the laws. Let the horses and dogs continue to be free on the beach

Dogs and horses should be allowed to be free. Owners should be responsible to as parents should take responsibility for their children when near animals and water

I fundamentally disagree with policy of restricting access to beaches for dogs. It is not the actions of dogs that cause problems but the owner of the dogs. An owner of any dog should always have control over their animal, however that does not mean they should be on a lead at all times or banned from beaches. Banning dogs from beaches just moves any issues elsewhere. Please review this decision and undertake a full public review of the current policy relating to beach access for dogs.

Do not get rid of the pet friendly area ! It’s such a lovely place for everything !

It’s healthy, it’s beautiful, I guess that’s why the council wants to take it away. Just sit the kids back in front of the computer games.

Please do not stop pet owners from taking their beloved pets to this beach. I have taken all my dogs here over the years, it is a tranquil little beach to chill out on with your pets. Unfortunately there are not many spots left and with so many dogs living in Units these days they need a nice beach to swim and frolic at. I have a friend that drives all the way from beautiful Kurrajong Hts to bring his much loved dogs for a swim. Without this spot I fear it will attract wrong unfriendly people to the area. Here are many other picnic areas in the Shire that are people only areas. GIVE US 1 DECENT PLACE PLEASE
