Petition to Sutherland Shire Council to review the current laws with respect to recreational beach access for dogs and horses in Kurnell.

Ridiculous idea, why would you , as a council do this. You are not listening to your people

Its a brilliant area to have dogs and horses run, play on the beach and swim. We need this is the Shire.

The area allocated to off leash is too small. In the summer months it is overcrowded with windsurfers so a better solution would be to extend the area to allow dogs off leash around Bonna Point .

You have destroyed every other part of the Shire! So just back off already and let people have this one unqiue thing! Leave Kurnell and the way of life out there alone!!

Pls keep the beach open our dog love running in and out of the water and it good for local businesses as people get drinks and food from the cafes shops.

We should have a place where we can enjoy the beach with our pets without getting fined. Let kids live a little, laws like this are forcing kids indoors on their ipads instead of enjoying the beautiful nature we have surrounding us.

I kept my horse at Kurnell Boarding Stables during the 80s & one of the most wonderful things about Kurnell was taking the horses along the beach & taking them for a swim. This has been going on for many, many years & is fabulous for the youngsters who keep their ponies at Kurnell. We should be encouraging young people to get out with their pets & enjoy being active.

Families should be able to take their dogs or horses to the beach, and enjoy it. Where is this world coming too. Wont be able to do anything soon.

If only the same level of scrutiny was given to DAs, trees are being cut down, open space reduced, does council completely want to destroy what it has meant to live in The Shire?

The Beach belongs to the people not the Council & at least part of it, in this case Kurnell, should be left as it had always been, pet friendly. Stop over regulation!! The Council wants to stop people innocently walking their dog or pet on the beach which brings benefits to the health of both pet & owner yet the Council will do nothing about moving a car parked across a residential driveway preventing the property owner from getting their car out to pick up their child! Really? I think Sutherland Shire Council needs to have a review of their priorities!

I grew up there doing exactly that riding horses on beach and my dog usual running along with.

Healthy for physical and Mental Well-Being for both Human Beings And Animals This kind of therapy is a must and most important for our future generations

Please allow horses and dogs access to the beach!

We have enough beaches where animals are not allowed. These are important family members who bring people joy. Its good for the animals and good for the humans to be able to do these activities together.

Off leash dog areas are becoming harder to find. Don’t place unreasonable restrictions on an area that already works well.

This is a beautiful freedom that makes living in the shire special don’t take it away with rules and restrictions
