Armed forces are the protectors of the citizens of the country and should not, under any circumstance, take the law or the administration of the country in their hands as rulers of the land where they are serving.
In a democratic set up killing peaceful, unarmed innocent people, and opening fire on people who were not agitating the peace, in the dark of the night, is against the Democratic code of a free country, and a blatant violation of the human rights of its free citizens. The mass shooting of the resting and unarmed people at night (with the lights out) will always be scrutinized as a condemnable & punishable, cowardly and inhumane act.
This command to shoot and murder hundreds of people assembled for a peaceful protest who were not causing any agitation, and murder them after turning the lights off of city square is a heinous crime.
The Commander who gave this atrocious order to kill unarmed people is accountable for the loss of the lives of the citizens he was responsible to protect. He should be court martialed.

Democracy is a system that values the voices of individuals, ensuring that everyone has a say in shaping the future of their community or nation. It fosters inclusivity, protects fundamental rights, and provides a framework for peaceful transitions of power. At its best, democracy empowers people to collaborate, innovate, and strive for equality and justice. And I don’t see that happening in Pakistan.
