PETITION TO RETAIN CAPTAIN LOUW-STREENKAMP AT THE GENADENDAL SERVICE CENTRE
WARD 2 – GREYTON, GENADENDAL, VOORSTEKRAAL & BEREAVILLE

Petition Statement:
We, the undersigned members of the Ward 2 community, strongly support the continued appointment of Captain Louw-Streenkamp as Station Commander of the Genadendal Service Centre. We value her exceptional leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to serving and uplifting our communities.

Reasons for Support:

• Captain Louw-Streenkamp is the first Station Commander in recent history to show consistent, hands-on support for and involvement in our community.
• Her service to date has been exemplary, with tangible and meaningful impact across Ward 2.
• Under her leadership, four officially registered Neighbourhood Watches have been established—an unprecedented achievement in our Ward—alongside a highly effective and active Community in Blue (CIB) programme.
• She has played a pivotal role in revitalising and transforming the Genadendal Community Police Forum (CPF) into a truly inclusive and multicultural body that works for all residents.
• Captain Louw-Streenkamp has demonstrated a strong humanitarian commitment, including the revitalisation of the Trauma Room, targeted efforts to reduce gender-based violence (GBV), and active campaigns to close down illegal or illicit establishments.
• She is a hands-on leader who works closely with our community and leads by example.
• We believe she is not only the right person for this position but also essential to maintaining the safety, cohesion, and wellbeing of our Ward 2 communities.

Our Request:
We, the residents of Ward 2, respectfully and strongly request that Captain Louw-Streenkamp remain in her current role at the Genadendal Service Centre. We firmly oppose any attempts to transfer her from our community and call upon all relevant authorities to ensure her continued leadership at our local station.
