The proposed action to close the Lebanon workers' compensation court is simply illegal and requires a prior change in NJSA 34:15-53. This proposed action also demonstrates why the original settlement with the State to allow for a "regional court" was ill conceived and why no further concessions should be made to the State in it's overall desire to create further "regional courts" and eliminate additional statutorily mandated venues.
My lawyer brought this concern to my attention and I agree with their concerns and the concerns related to the closing of the court. Please do what can be done to keep it open. Best Regards, Walter

Why bw rspnsibile for giving people who are already sick or injured and possibly facing financial concerns even more to worry about. This is cruel.

I have been waiting 12 years to complete my case. If they close a court I'll never get paid.

This could be the start of a slippery slope to more closures and reduction in services

The injured workers of New Jersey should be highly valued. Closing a court to help injured workers is a travesty!
