Dear President Pistole and Ms. Shanna McClure,

We the graduates of Anderson University and formal students of Dr. Randy Frieling are writing this letter to bring to your attention to the recent decision to involuntarily terminate Dr. Frieling’s service as a Professor of Music.

We believe that Dr. Frieling’s contribution to the University has been tremendous and irreplaceable. Mastering piano and accompanying skills is important for any musician, however especially for music educators. He’s knowledge in teaching and performing developed during his 30 years of experience has greatly impacted our careers as musicians and educators.

We noticed that the Anderson University’s Employee Handbook does not indicate specific details about involuntary termination of its employee without cause. We request that you provide explanations to us and reconsider Dr. Frieling’s involuntary termination.
