I love university towns, but the location of this campus is simply wrong. You don't build a large new campus in the middle of the westside that is getting more and more congested every day and offers almost no suitable local student housing. Build it someplace where the city can grow around it. This whole project has been forced upon us with "feel good" public participation.

I support a 4 year university, but it needs to be closer to Hwy 97.

Love the idea of a four year school here, but they need room to build a real campus

I'm for the university and hope it remains I'm Bend for a long time. Because of that I believe it would be beneficial to plan a location that would be better for the long term. Thank you for your consideration.

Do not put osu on the westside, our town can not handle the impact of that at this time

There is already way too much traffic and no low cost housing on the west side. Please bring OSU to Bend but put it somewhere else!!

I live on the NE side of town and have to drive to the Westside to work. It is a nightmare getting in and out of my workplace, this will just add to the misery. Why not Juniper Ridge? Tons of land, hello? And I drive through that double roundabout ALL the time, and rarely encounter another car in it.

Yes to OSU, but NOT on the Westside! Juniper Ridge campaigned as the site for the school--remember?

This will cause traffic grid lock, and neighbor unrest as people block drives and litter

The people who allowed the early start of construction need to be fired. OSU needs to be located on acreage on the South, North or East side where the traffic would not cause gridlock.

Terrible location, what are they thinking?

Juniper Ridge concept shows a university as an anchor for the northeast part of Bend. http://www.gobend.com/Documents/Final_Juniper_Ridge_Concept_Plan.pdf Why was this plan abandoned when it offers a more fair access to surrounding communities and students from Redmond and Prineville?

NW Bend can barely handle the traffic currently. I can't imagine having an additional 5000 car hungry driving students. Majority of students will not use their bikes or walk as OSU states. I know this since I have one OSU college student and one soon to be that are part of the car driving generation, whose friends as well refuse to walk even two blocks. It will be a complete traffic gridlock if OSU will be allowed to build in this site.

The proposed west side location already lacks adequate affordable housing and has over-crowded roads. Bend's bus system is lacking in coverage area and hours. This will be a disaster.

I feel OSU has not be transparent about the whole process at all. It seems there has been a hidden agenda all along, and nothing was going to change that. The people of Bend and Deschutes County should have a voice/vote in this process.

Not opposed to a four year university, but NOT in the Westside. More room needed.. Just look at Washington and California's state university's successful growth.

The westside of Bend cannot support the traffic associated with OSU Cascades. Surely there are other options in Central Oregon

Juniper Acres is a more appropriate location for OSU in Bend.

The westside is not the place for the university. The City of Bend has no plans to address the current traffic problems over and the university will make it literally, impossible to get around.
