In news of the recent compliance order Bank of Canada has issued to XTM Inc, we as
employees of Scaddabush Don Mills feel our money is not safe, and that timely tip outs are
not being prioritized. Although we were advised this issue may take 2-5 days to resolve,
missing tips has been a publicly longstanding issue that will almost guaranteed take more
time to fix. There is too much uncertainty regarding our money, the money we rely on for
living. The same grace and patience we are being asked to extend to a shady corporation
like XTM Inc/Anyday will not be extended to us if we are late for things like phone bills or
rent.
In lieu of this problem, moving forward we would appreciate receiving cash tip outs at the end of the
shift as opposed to the usual process. Many restaurants that are facing the same issue with
XTM Inc/Anyday have been doing the same. We have dealt with similar technical blackouts
before and many servers still have not been paid what they’re owed. This would be
preventive of any money going missing again and ensure everyone is satisfied instead of
uncertain when coming in to work.
