This decision is selfish and needs to be reversed.

Football players look forward to this by the end of the season as do the parents, family and friends. Traditions are not meant to be broken!

Eliminating a long time tradition is wrong. Please reinstate the game.

This is a tradition that has occurred since I was in high school over 25 years ago and not only does it being rival schools together, it also gives alumni that are home for the holidays the opportunity to watch the game and connect with coaches and players. Don't take it away for convenience of a schedule and a few extra bucks!

Former player for Fairfield Warde....if you take away the Thanksgiving day games then you should be ashamed... It's a great event and is something that I look forward to as I come home from college

First of all, I can't believe the FCIAC would disrespect the nature and tradition of the game by doing away with Thanksgiving Football to begin with. Seeing that they have, they must not understand the true excitement, pride, joy, emotion and love for the game that all high school football players look forward to during the end of the year Thanksgiving Game. Being an FCIAC Football Alumni, I am shocked that this action was taken by the league and I feel sorry for the current players that this will effect. The Thanksgiving Football game every year was something to look forward, something to bring family and friends together during the morning before the dinner feast, and one of the most exciting days of the football season. I am truly sorry for the players who will not be able to experience this opportunity, like so many other alumni have, if the FCIAC doesn't reverse this change. The league needs to rethink their decision and understand the true impact and magnitude of the mistake they made. Bring back Thanksgiving Football!!
