As a resident of West 42nd Street, I believe that parking is becoming ridiculous. When there is not enough parking in your drive way and you have to resort to parking on the street, you usually have to park a few blocks away from your house because during the day all of the spaces are being taken up by commuters. This is unfair because I hate having to walk a 1/2 mile just to get to my house. I am especially trying to get rid of the "no parking on one side of the street M-F from 9-4:30" sign because this is what causes for people like myself to have to park a few blocks away from my house. *Note: 41st-40th street require a permit to park during the day M-F or you will get a ticket from Norfolk parking. I've have experienced this and maybe you have to. Norfolk has stupid rules when it I comes to parking and I am trying to change this. I have spoken with officials of the City of Norfolk who work for Parking as well as City Hall and if they say we get enough signatures, they will take my idea into consideration. Yearly permits will cost about $10 dollars and you have to prove that you are a resident of this area. Parking with a permit will be required M-F from 8 am - 8 pm and is free for all on weekends.

I honestly never thought this many people would actually understand the frustration of walking half a mile just to get home after a long shift. My phone keeps buzzing with notifications and it is wild to think that our little neighborhood headache is finally getting some serious attention from the city people.

10 bucks a year is nothing. Just give us our street back.

FINALLY. Walking 4 blocks with groceries in the rain is ridiculous. Fix this now.

About time. I work late and come home to find zero spots left because of people working downtown. It gets old fast.
