Is that not what Christianity and Catholicism is all about, support and cherish one another no matter what. Thank You and God bless us all.

This guy stole money from the Church to pay for his retirement home. Reminds me of the Pharisees during the time of Jesus

Archbishop, your archaic brand of guilt-driven Catholicism is the reason I abandoned the faith by which I was raised. I refuse to worship, or believe in, a God which exacts vengeance upon people simply trying to live happily. Let's take your position at face value: the LGBTQ community sins via deviant sexual choices, yet we are all sinners. What makes your original sin uniquely acceptable to theirs? That they're LGBTQ and you aren't? Where is the bright line drawn? I regret attending a university with such arbitrary, poorly-reasoned constructions as to how I deserve to be educated. As a matter of fact, the most academically engaging course I've taken at this $8K a year (scholarships included) money pit was ABOUT LGBTQ ISSUES. Your position disgusts me. Education is supposed to make us uncomfortable; removing ourselves from the shackles of personal experience is a timeless value, and is the entire basis of Christian faith. I'm saddened, though not surprised, to real

This is ridiculous. The archdiocese just alienated half the parishioners, if not more

God created LGBTQ+ people. They wouldn't be here if they weren't!

I'm agnostic, but that doesn't mean I don't see how immeasurably valuable religion is to many people. Taking away someone's choice of being Catholic or Agnostic or Muslim or anything is to take away their individualism and their identity.

It is incredibly stupid and wrong to ban someone from going to church just becasue they are a little bit different than the average person. Catholics often say that every person is created by God and that God loves all. If that were the case, God would have created people in the LGBT community to be the way they are. It is not a choice to have an LGBT livestyle; all of them were born this way! No one has the right to tell someone who or what they can or cannot be, especially a church.

This is sad and upsetting and disgusting at the same time. As a student of Seton Hall and a member of the LGBT community this is the worst thing I have heard come from the Archdiocese of Newark. PLEASE HELP THIS BE REPEALED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is disgusting to me that the Archdiocese is being so close-minded. With the new pope, I had hoped that the Catholic church might be moving in a new, more accepting direction, and then this happens.
