Petition to remove umpire from all 6U game assignments.

Doesn’t know the rules

Seemed like he had an attitude coming into our game at 7:15 and kept making comments to our parents who just simply had a question of concern

Drunk, unfair, cocky, rude, ignorant!!!

We had the EXACT same issues with him during basketball season. He has No knowledge of the rules. He has zero care about the safety Of the players or coaches

He’s absolutely ridiculous even was unfair with a crappy attitude during basketball. Dislike him entirely

completely agree. He officiated a previous game between the bombers, and Lil Braves in consistently showed unprofessional and argumentative behavior towards coaches and parents on the sideline. A game previous to that he was not officiating and continue to interject with our players and parents when he had no business doing so he then also interjected into the game we were playing with improper advice, causing confusion to our players and extending the game longer than needed past the official timeframe. He needs to go.

This is unacceptable at this age group. Winning and points are irrelevant, if you haven’t provided clear and patiently, the rules of the game. I am appalled that children 5-6 had to deal with this and I I definitely hope it does not discourage them in the future. Even so, they need a replacement!

All umpires need to be better educated on the rules and regulations. We had a similar issue with our girls 8u softball game on Monday at 6pm. It seem that there is a lack of training through coaches and umpires causing great confusion

He really confuses the player with his calls

Should be removed from being an umpire all together. Not just 6u! Been dealing with his nonsense since my 16yr old was 8!

He is not nice to the kids at all and is very negative and rude

I understand how much work these umpires put into our community for little pay. Our rec baseball team the last two years in 10u and 12u have had issues with Michael. Not only in baseball, Michael has caused many issues in rec basketball with the coaches, kids and spectators. He should be removed as an umpire and I know he has plenty of complaints prior to this one.

This ref is rude and disrespectful to kids, coaches, parents, and spectators. His calls are awful and incorrect.

Rules were unexplained by the umpire and when asking for clarification, he was rude and argumentative. The children were confused and disheartened as if they were to blame for everything happening. The children are 5 and 6 years old and he had little to no grace expressed to them. This should be a game of learning the fundamentals of baseball and to enrich their skills. It felt like he just wanted to prove a point and act like he was better than everyone else. One of our coaches was ejected from the game on asking why my son was called for interference, as my child was just doing what he was told. My son was confused and no explanation given to him by the umpire when the coach was just trying to understand. Children are like sponges and they soak everything in they hear. Instead of criticizing them, they needed guidance and he failed to do so during the game.

Could not keep the same rules for both teams, smarted off to parents and kids….not a good experience for the children or parents. We’re all there to have fun & it wasn’t possible!
