THE WCPSS is also promoting slogans that are either violent in nature or the foundation of which is been proven false. WCPSS defines "No Justice, No Peace" as "The idea that as long as injustice prevails, acting peacefully is a moral impossibility". This is supporting violence as an option. As opposed to stating peace can not occur without justice. This slogan has been inappropriately propagated to incite violence as has quoting Dr. MLK out of context in regard to rioting is the voice of the unheard...in context, Dr MLK condemned rioting. The "Hand up, don't shoot" slogan is a slogan attributed to Michael Brown. This has been proven to be a mantra that was made up by those protesting in Ferguson MO, not words of Micheal Brown. In addition, as recent as this week, the recently appointed DA in Ferguson, who happens to be Black, once again found there was no evidence to convict the police officer in this case, as did the DOJ under Eric Holder. While education about and awareness of racism is important and racism is abhorrent in any form, the current social dialogue and use of the term of "white privilege" is perpetuating prejudice and racism against White people and is creating a new generation of young people who are given the social license to be prejudiced against White people...this is counter to the anti-race mission and is racist. Actions are racists, not a color, whether White, Black or any other color. Using a term that focus on a color of a people group, divides vs reconciles and labels a people group as racists vs actions that are racist. This must change if the goal is elimination of racism. My family is multi-racial, I am in this fight against racism for the future of my family. I can not and will not support the WCPSS use of such items that divide our community as described above and in the overall petition regarding the BLM organization. Black lives do matter, but holding up anything from the BLM organization is an affront to peace and reco

BLM is anti-family, anti-capitalist and anti-American and should not be taught as part of any school curriculum. Let’s try teaching America history instead.

This does not belong in our schools. A more thorough understanding of the backers of BLM is absolutely necessary before teaching their “curriculum”. One look at who their beneficiaries are suggest a very political agenda. These motives should not drive what is taught in school.

Our kids need Math, Science, English, Real American History. Not Marxist indoctrination. This kind of stuff can be an elective for those interested. Not a mandate.

This shutdown has shown government run schooling is not only nonessential, it is dangerous.
